Like think tanks all over the world, Chinese think tanks may struggle to convey the importance of their research to the public and bring their research to the attention of a wide audience. Dissemination of research results is important on two levels: one, adding China’s voice in the academic discussion of China’s economic and social development on the international stage, and ,two, improving the status of Chinese think tanks abroad.
Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences Think Tank Foundation help spread the research conducted by Chinese think tanks beyond China’s borders. In broad terms, SASS TTF serves as a means of supporting the work of Chinese think tanks and sharing Chinese academic voices with the world. For any given project, SASS may provide funding for the publication of research, coordinate the dissemination of research both domestically and internationally, fund conferences. SASS TTF believes that spreading the results of academic research is crucial to the further development of Chinese think tanks and the field of social science research as a whole.
